English Chess Federation Membership Requirement - if you are ENGLISH then you MUST BE A Gold or Platinum member to play.
If you are already registered with another FIDE nation (not ENG) then there is no ECF membership requirement.
£50.00 to enter any section. If you are DCCA or CCCA ask your club for a discount code.
An Open / Major Under 1900 / Minor Under 1700 / Amateur ECF Under 1400 tournament of five rounds.
One round on Friday (7.00pm to a possible 11pm finish)
Two rounds on Saturday (10.30am, 3.30pm)
Two on Sunday (10.30am, 3.30pm)
90 minutes per player per game PLUS 30 seconds added every move. FIDE rated and ECF graded.
Players in the Open section may have any rating for either their FIDE or ECF. This is the top section. Grandmasters and International Masters register for free entry (must be ECF Gold members if English).
- Players in the Major section must be Under 1900 in the FIDE and the ECF standard rating list at the time the event is played.
- Players in the Minor section must be Under 1700 in the FIDE and the ECF standard rating list at the time the event is played.
- Players in the Amateur ECF Under 1400 must be Under 1400 in the ECF standard rating list at the time the event is played. This event is rated by the ECF but not FIDE.
GUARANTEED PRIZES
In the OPEN and U1900 and U1700 sections = 1st £200, 2nd £100 - these prizes will be shared in the event of a tie.
Plus a rating prize of £80.00 in these sections.
In the ECF Under 1400 section the first prize is £120.00 and second prize £60.00 with a rating prize of £40.00.
