Good news about the strike, and standard rated games galore!
The tube strike in London has been cancelled! SO, if you are not busy at The British Championships in Leicester, come and play two FIDE rated and ECF rated standard games alongside the bi-monthly (including two August dates now) rapid Muswell Hill tournament at the lovely Clissold Arms!

London Chess League are hosting a 5 round ECF tournament at the Mindsports Centre in Hammersmith over 5 Thursday evenings AND some more congresses at weekends.
Evening Event Sections: Open and U1850 (you have to be Under 1850 in ECF and FIDE)
Dates: Held across 5 Thursdays - 03/Aug, 10/Aug, 17/Aug, 24/Aug, 31/Aug
Address: The London Mindsports Centre, 21 Dalling Road, W6 0JD
Format: 5 Round Swiss tournaments
Rating: ECF rated (not FIDE rated, although our weekend congresses throughout the season will be FIDE rated)
Round start times: All rounds start at 18.45pm
Byes: Players may take a half-point bye in any round except Round 5, where a player may take a 0 point bye
ECF Membership requirements: All players (regardless of federation) must either:
Be an ECF Silver member or above, or
Pay the additional ECF supplement to play
