This week I’ve been writing a piece for The British Chess Magazine on the effects of Covid-19 on my chess life. In some ways, this experience has made me focus on a few projects I was too [busy] lazy to finish - such as this newsletter! I am still finding ways to procrastinate and not finish all the other projects…
This week I am teaching three classes online, and running two tournaments.
Tuesday (tonight) from 7pm we have the first of four Tuesday classes for players at about 120 ECF. At 8pm to 9pm we will have two rapid games for practice, everyone is invited to register for these for free to give my students some experience and for you to get practice with Tornelo! All students get feedback on their games.
Wednesday at 7pm we have a pilot class for adults graded approximately 50-100 ECF, followed by two practice games. If you enjoy this class we will lay on more classes at the same level for you. Next Wednesday we are doing a pilot class for juniors who are from 50-100 ECF.
Thursday at 7pm to 10pm we have a 7 round blitz tournament with prizes, 10 minutes per player per game. This is at the same time as the first round of the Hendon Chess Club Championships (one standard game every Thursday at 7.30pm), and if you’d like to join Hendon and participate then you would be most welcome.
Fridays we have an advanced class at 4pm for players who are 160+ - it will be pretty challenging and last about 90 minutes!
All classes cost £60.00 for four sessions, and Premium subscribers to this newsletter get 10% off, as well as other benefits. If you miss a class, contact me (adamraoof@gmail.com) and we will fit you in.
