Half way through the month of February already, and our Mill Hill Standard Play 2-day Congress is just 10 days away!!
One of the most effective ways to grow as a chess player is to diligently analyse your games. With 5 rounds of ECF and FIDE rated Standard Play Chess (3 rounds on Saturday, and 2 on Sunday), you are afforded the luxury of potentially producing several more “works of art”, or sharpening your repertoire.
But perhaps the longer time controls aren’t what you are after? Perhaps you want to delve into the unknown? Well, we might be able to offer you something a little more… random.
On Saturday 25th February, at the same venue as the Mill Hill Congress will be held, we will be hosting our FIRST Fischer Random Rapid Play Tournament!
£200 - first prize, £150 - second prize, £100 - third prize.
Fischer Random prizes have been generously sponsored by Pinpoint Learning (a personalised Education Platform for GCSEs and Year 6 Maths Teachers).
See who is playng in the Standard Congress HERE, and who is playing in the Fischer Random tournament HERE.
So whether you like to keep things just as they are, or maybe want to shake things up a bit, we hope to see you at Copthall School, NW7 2EP, on 25-26 February.
