Entry is now open for the latest London Chess League FIDE rated weekend congress, to be held at the London Mindsports Centre in Hammersmith with details below:
Dates: 31/Mar-2/Apr and 2-4/June
Address: London Mindsports Centre, 21 Dalling Road, W6 0JD
Format: 5 Round Swiss tournament
Rating: FIDE and ECF rated
Sections: Open and U1800 (see requirements below)
Time Control: 90m + 30s/move
Round start times:
Round 1: Friday 18.30
Round 2: Saturday 10.00
Round 3: Saturday 15.00
Round 4: Sunday 10.00
Round 5: Sunday 15.00
Byes: Players may take up to two half-point byes in any round except round 5, where a player may take a 0 point bye
Rating eligibility: You must be Under 1800 in both the ECF and FIDE standard lists at the start of the event if you wish to play in the Under 1800 section. We reserve the right to move players up to the Open. The higher of the two ratings will be used to determine seeding and eligibility for any other prizes.
ECF membership requirements: Non-English players must be formally registered with FIDE for a non-English federation. English players must either:
Be a Gold or Platinum member,
Be a supporter / Bronze / Silver member and pay the additional ECF supplement to play
This event is organised by the London Chess League, and will be arbited by Adam Raoof, Rob Hammond and John Sargent.

When the London Chess League moved venues, more non-League events were promised to members and after the success of last year's summer congress, there were a lot of inquiries about whether weekend events would be possible. I am very happy to be presenting these to you today.
