Hendon FIDE Blitz Chess, 7th December

Plus two more blitz tournaments at the Mindsports Centre, Hammersmith!

Three blitz events coming up soon! You can play as many as 29 FIDE rated games of chess over 6 days!

Hendon Chess Club has their monthly tournament on the evening of Thursday 7th December. Anyone can play. PRIZES - 1st = [number of entries x £1], 2nd = [half the 1st prize), Best Hendon Member = £20.00. Time control is 10 minutes per player for the games.

The tournament is 6 rounds, 7.30pm to 10pm and the venue is Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club, 25 Alvanley Gardens, London NW6 1JD. Go into the bar, turn left and through the white door and up the stairs to your right to find the chess venue!

On Saturday 9th December we are concluding the Chess England GM Festival at the Mindsports Centre in Hammersmith (play in progress pictured above) with a very strong blitz tournament of 14 games - you play 7 rounds and each opponent twice - (!) and you are welcome to join us! Time control is 3 minutes for the game plus 2 seconds increment from move 1. One section, so expect to play a few titled players. GAMES ARE BROADCAST LIVE. Finally, on Tuesday 12th December we are back at the Mindsports Centre for another blitz, this time 9 rounds, hosted by the London Chess League and run by Domenico Napolitano and myself.
