This half-term, the boards are set and the clocks are ticking as Muswell Hill welcomes back its exciting FIDE & ECF rated chess congress at The Clissold Arms, 105 Fortis Green, London N2 9HR. With limited on-site pub parking, it’s worth arriving early to secure a spot – or enjoy the lively atmosphere before your first move!

This is a one-section-only event (U2400) across 4 intense rounds with FIDE-rated time controls: 60 minutes per player plus 30 seconds increment per move. Expect serious battles over the board, with the prestige of improving not only your ECF rating but your international FIDE ranking.
Prizes for excellence include:
1st place: £200
2nd place: £100
3rd place: £50
Plus a special rating prize (based on 20 players)
Daily rounds start 10.30am and 2.00pm – scoresheets and pens supplied.
Entry Fee: £50 (payable in advance)
Players must hold ECF Gold or Platinum membership or pay an extra £17 “Pay to Play” fee to support the English Chess Federation.
