slow chess is back...

SLOW CHESS

If you are looking to play games of chess at a slower time control (from 1 hr each all games with an increment), then I am experimenting with a few FIDE (https://ratings.fide.com/) and English Chess Federation (https://www.ecfrating.org.uk/v2/new/list_players.php) rated events at my house (!) in Hendon NW4 and you can find all the details of the events here (games played over the board, but I am using Tornelo to do the pairings) - https://tornelo.com/chess/orgs/chess-england or on the ECF chess calendar as usual. You must be ECF Gold or Platinum to participate. You should ask the ECF or your own Federation (01424 775222) to allocate you a FIDE ID code before thinking about playing. Ideally you should be standard FIDE rated and have a jab or two under your belt!

I am also organising Masters events - these are for players 2200+, so make contact if you are looking for an IM or GM norm! Our first is in Muswell Hill from 9-13 August sponsored by Ben Software Ltd and The Friends of Chess. If you would like to sponsor an event, I would love to hear from you.
