Right Here, Right Now
Thanks for your messages of support, which were much appreciated. I have recovered almost fully from the virus, and I am looking forward to getting back to chess tournaments with the support of arbiters Rob Hammond, Jo Wildman and Lance Leslie-Smith. Join us soon!
Please note that we recommend all players to wear a mask whilst indoors. We have spare masks, hand sanitisers and there is plenty of space for the players. Spectators are not encouraged in the playing area. Non-combatants and parents are encouraged to wait outside in the sunshine (!) or visit the park in Hampstead Manor. There is food and drink throughout. There is also usually a cafe nearby.

Coming up in the future -
Swindon (Wiltshire) Rapidplay on March 5th - this is organised by Ben Ogunshola who I know well, and in a lovely venue, so I am glad to support the event and I will be running it.
Easter Congress at Southend is back! Thursday 14th to Monday 18th April, we will probably have a day of rapid chess on the first day, and the usual FIDE rated sections (currently being considered) over the Bank Holiday weekend with ratings to be taken from the February or March list to make sure you can register for the correct section!
More blitz tournaments at the Mind Sports Centre (they were really popular) and some more Mill Hill FIDE Congresses..
