Hendon Chess Club’s monthly blitz event drew a crowd of 30 players at the Cumberland Tennis Club in West Hampstead on a cold Thursday night in November earlier this year. Chess enthusiasts from across all levels, ranging from age 10 to 63, competed for a small cash prize of £30 in the tournament.
